The first thing that comes to mind when someone sees a bird is “freedom”. The flock of birds are used as a mnemonic and is accompanied with circles in the collateral design. The birds are placed around the circles, so it looks as though they are greeting the first sunshine of the day. Hence the theme “newfound freedom”, a new dawn and day for the survivors.
